Britney Spears‘ husband Sam Asghari has released a statement in response to the reports that he was part of an intervention that was staged for the singer.
Reports surfaced that Sam was supposed to be present at an intervention to convince Britney that she needed help, but it reportedly never happened.
TMZ says that the intervention never happened after Britney became “somewhat aware” of the plan. She reportedly agreed to meet with a doctor and it “went well.”
Now, Sam is clearing the air and revealing his side of the story.

“An intervention did not occur. My wife is in full control of her life and will continue to make all decisions involving her care regardless of circumstances. Speculation on her health is inappropriate and should end immediately,” Sam said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
Sam and Britney have been married since last summer.
