Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have opened up about their 35-year marriage.
The 64-year-old Footloose actor said it was love at first sight when he met Kyra Sedgwick, although the feeling wasn’t quite mutual.
The pair met on the set of the PBS movie Lemon Sky in 1987.

“I was knocked out,” Kevin told People. “I thought she was amazing.”
“I remember thinking, ‘Oh, he thinks he’s really cool,’ ” Kyra said of her first impression.
They eventually went on a dinner date which had a lot of talking as well as laughing. But it wasn’t the date itself that let Kyra know Kevin was the one for her.
“I remember waking up and going, ‘I feel like home,’ ” Kyra said of the next day. “I realized, ‘Oh, that was him.’ ”
In terms of their successful marriage, Kyra revealed one very important ingredient. “A sense of humor is crucial. He is very freaking funny,” she said.
The 57-year-old actress won an Emmy in 2010 for her hit TV series The Closer but is now enjoying being behind the camera.
Kyra recently directed Kevin in the upcoming romantic science fiction movie, Space Oddity. The movie is set to be released in theaters on March 31, 2023.
