A hotel in Western Australia has apologised to rapper Post Malone and his entourage for denying them entry over the weekend.
The American rapper and his crew were turned away from QT Perth’s swanky rooftop bar on Saturday night after security guards refused the star entry due to his facial tattoos.
According to the hotel website, Malone likely breached the venue’s strict dress code, which prohibits “face, neck and offensive tattoos”.

The rapper – who is still in the country after wrapping his tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers – has an extensive collection of ink, boasting at least 79 tattoos on his face and body.
“They turned me away for my tattoos… I’ve never really experienced anything like that,” he told The West Australian following the incident.
QT Hotels & Resorts has since issued a statement to the outlet, in which they apologised to Malone for how he was treated at the door.

“At QT, we aim to welcome everyone and celebrate the uniqueness of each individual. QT has been recognised for this for many years,” the statement read.
“However, on Saturday night, our third-party security did not exercise the appropriate discretion and we take full responsibility for this. We sincerely apologise to the individuals affected.”
Among Malone’s many facial tattoos are the words “Always Tired” under his eyes, ace of spades in the corner of his forehead, barbed wire in his hairline, and a sword running down the side of his face.
In a 2020 interview with GQ, Malone explained why he has a penchant for facial tatts.
“Swords are f—king awesome, and I’ve been into them since I was a little kid,” he told the magazine. “I feel like the face tattoos make me interesting to look at.”
After being rejected from the QT bar, Malone hit up 18 Knots rooftop bar where he was granted special entry on the discretion of security.
